Potion Motion Mini-Wizard

Despite this only being a mini-wizard, it is a very critical one. Your performance in this mini-wizard will greatly affect the likelihood you succeed in the Final Boss Battle.

Potion Motion does not particularly score high like other wizards. This is because your main reward is HP / health, not points. And in fact, the "Mini-Wizard total" is presented to you in the form of the amount of health you collected instead of the points you earned.

After completing the 7 primary objectives, the flippers freeze to drain your balls, and Potion Potion begins.

you realize that the amount of health you will need to survive the boss far exceeds the health you have.

You must brew and consume potions to significantly increase your HP for the FINAL BOSS.

  • Potion Motion is a 1-ball mini-wizard but has unlimited ball shield
  • The mini-wizard lasts 3 minutes
  • For each of the 7 objectives, a shot is chosen for it at random
  • One at a time, a shot will be flashing. Its color will represent the objective it represents.
  • Shoot the flashing shot to collect 25 HP + all bonus HP earned for that respective objective. That shot will go solid, and the next shot will start flashing.
  • Complete as many shots as you can before time runs out to get the most HP.
  • If you collect all 7 shots, then the crossbow is lit white for the remainder of the mini-wizard, awarding 50 HP per hit.

Potion Motion ends when the time runs out; flippers freeze and drain the balls, and FINAL BOSS immediately starts after that.

Cooperative Play

In cooperative play, the Potion Motion Wizard will split the earned HP across all players instead of awarding it all to one player. For example, if 50 HP total was earned for a game with 3 players, then each player will get 16 HP (since 2 HP remain after rounding down, the 2 players with the lowest HP will get another 1 HP).

Zen Difficulty

It may seem like Potion Motion is a useless mini-wizard when playing in Zen mode since you have "unlimited" health. However, remember that in Zen, the amount of HP damage you take is secretly tracked for an end-of-game penalty. Potion Motion helps you undo some or all of the damage you took and may even provide you with HP to spare. This will especially be helpful since you will likely take a lot of damage in the Final Boss. This is why Potion Motion is still played / activated in Zen difficulty.
